How to get a 45+ in PE

Personally for me and most of my friends, PE was by far the best subject in VCE. Majority of students who take on PE do it due to their love for sports which helps make it an easy subject to motivate yourself to study for. However, as many students have a great passion for the subject, often it can be extremely hard to do well as so many people hope for it to be their best subject. This guide will ensure that you stay ahead of your fellow cohort members and the study score you were hoping for.

How to prepare for your SACs

I often used my class time as an introduction to the topics we were learning where I owuld highlight key terms my teacher emphasised and asked many questions. After class I found the most efficient way to study was by doing practice questions. All schools have different styles of SACs so I recommend practising the SACs that your school has provided you so you can get familiar with that style.

How to revise for exams

Revise throughout the year and keep going back over the concepts you've learned. The more practice exams you do does not mean the more prepared you are! Look over the examiner's reports for feedback.

Time management

In the reading time I quickly started off with the multiple choice and then went through the rest of the questions in my head. I went from easiest to hardest.

Final tips

  • Study with others
  • Don't compare yourself to your peers
  • Check what is actually on the study design

We hope you have learned a lot and are ready to ace PE! Good luck!
